Sessions: The Basics
A ‘Session’ is an appointment between a member of your team (administrator or manager) and an person or team, for example a buyer or journalist, that you’d like to present to, .
Each Session has a unique browser link (URL) which directs the user to the Showroom. You can:
Share this link with your contact so they can navigate their personalised Showroom on their own
or
Open the link yourself to present the Showroom by ‘screen share’ in a video conference, or on your laptop / tablet during an in-person meeting
Creating a session
To create a Session, navigate to the Showroom page and choose "Add Session" in the top right.
Session features
Area
The geography or team related to the contact involved in the Session.
Contact
The client or journalist you're meeting with.
To select a contact, write at least three characters of the contact name, and select one of the suggestions from your contact list. If you can't find the contact you are looking for, check in the Contact List:
the contact might be there, but with a different spelling
the contact might not have been added yet, in which case add it to the Contact List and try again
Managed by
The person who is managing the Session - it might be you, or one of your teammates.
Collection Microsite(s)
Selecting a Collection from your existing range lets us automatically build a Microsite that you can present during the session. Add more Collections for additional Microsites.
Note: if there’s no Collection you can still arrange the meeting, but the link to the Showroom won’t be available until you connect your Collection(s).
Price Group
If your Showroom is set to manage Orders, you can connect each session to the specific Price Group you want to adopt with the client.
Retailer (Door)
You can also add a Retailer (also known as a ‘Door’) to the session, in case you want to specify which store your contact is ordering for.
Date / Time
If you’d like to set an appointment for the Session, you can set a date and time. This can be left blank if you’re letting the contact navigate the Session at their convenience.
Location
You can specify the location, either physical or virtual, where the Session will take place. For example a room, table or stand number for a physical meeting, or the videoconferencing details if it’s taking place online.
